1. The Yamaha EF2400iSHC generator - If you want a generator to "just get by" you may find something cheaper. If you want a quality product that will last for years, consider this Yamaha model. The output power rating is slightly higher than the comparable Honda model and I like that it has a fuel level gauge. Rugged, quiet and well designed - mine starts on the first pull.
2. Great machine - This inverter / generator has several advantages over the competing Honda - for instance it has a gas gauge (very handy) and also the ability to run the engine until the carbs float bowl is empty with out draining the complete tank for "medium term" storage. This could help keep the jet from getting clogged up. Also a larger (171cc) over square engine for durability.
3. Yamaha is one of the best on the market -  Lightweight, easy to move, great on gas. This 2400 watt unit powers my 28ft. Airstream with no trouble but if the air is running, don't make toast. I chose Yamaha over Honda.
4. WOW very impressed -  After searching, reading reviews, etc we went with the Yamaha. We are very happy we did. Impressed with ease of starting and sound. It is just what we wanted to power our travel trailer when not hooked up.
